Leather Half-Choke Sighthound collar - 45mm width

A strong leather half-choke collar with soild brass or nickel-plated brass (silver) medium weight chain, for sight-hounds or any dog with a long slender neck. This is a good control collar when used on the lead, while the wider (45mm width) leather section supports the neck and prevents your hound giving you the slip! These collars are often also called 'martingales' - relating back to the equestrian control equipment. They are available in a range of colours, with an optional soft padded leather lining, but made to order only so delivery time may be a little longer.
Sizing - To ensure a good fit and adequate control, measure the dog's neck circumference where the collar will sit - usually the top of the neck, behind the ears at it's narrowest part, subtract 2″ (5cm) and this will give the length you need to order. The chain adds 4″ (10cm) to this length so for a 10″ (25cm) collar, the leather section measures 10″ (25cm), the chain then adds 4″ (10cm), so the open circumference will be approx 14″ (35cm) - make sure this open measurement will fit over your dogs head & ears comfortably!
Please take care of your collar from new with a good Leathercare product - it will supple up the leather and keep it in great condition for years of use.
