My collars are sold by length (excluding the buckle), so please use this guide to help you order the best fit for your dog. First you will need to take a comfortable measurement of your dog's neck where the collar will lie, then for all buckled collars add 4″ (10cm) which will give the length you need to order for a comfortable fit, which will give some adjustment both ways.
For slip & half-choke collars, see size guidance in these collar pages. This really applies for fully grown dogs, but if you have a younger growing puppy please add 5″ (12.5cm) to allow the maximum amount of growing room as the collar should now fit on the tightest of the holes. Most pups will have done the bulk of their growing by around 9 or 10 months old and you may then be able to buy their 'adult' collar. It's not a precise science but this usually works out right!
